There are so many different drinks available now that it is confusing to know what to choose. One of the best ways to know which the best wines are is to find reviews. That means you will have some idea of the kind of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Reviews are really a great way of choosing great wines.
I used to often drink cocktails and have a tasty Lady Madonna recipe which I used to mix. Even the most detailed cocktails are actually easy to make. For instance, the Lady Madonna recipe includes the following ingredients:
1 1/2 oz Dubonnet® Rouge vermouth
1 oz dry vermouth
Cocktails are cool to have at a party or at a hip bar but they sure are expensive! Even during discount times, you can simply break a budget by having a few cocktails. So nowadays, more often than not I will stick to white wine or champagne. I have discovered which are the best organic wines available and believe that drinking wine over cocktails generally means I get a great drink which is most probably healthier and with fewer calories.
Whenever I have a choice I prefer to order organic wines or no added preservative wine. I love Australian wines but am willing to try anything. I have also tried wines from Italy before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not often a good idea to judge a wine based on the region where it is made, you can be surprised at the quality of wines grown in countries not known for wine production.
There are many websites where you can find wine recommendations to allow you to make a good choice in wine. Whether you prefer red or sparkling wine, you can find recent reviews online. I tend to read wine forums because you can then get immediate opinions on the wine you are contemplating buying.
If you are thinking of trying organic wines then check out Treehugger for information on how buying organic wine is less harmful for soils. Wikipedia also has some great articles on organic growing and organic food and wine.
