There are plenty of different alcoholic drinks available in the shops that it is confusing to know what to choose. One of the simplest ways to discover which the best quality wines are is to find reviews. That way you will have some knowledge of the type of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Reviews are really one of the best way of discovering excellent wines.
I did always drink cocktails and have a good Champibble recipe which I used to mix. Even the most detailed cocktails are actually easy to make. For instance, the Champibble recipe includes only these ingredients:
4 oz Mad Dog® grape wine
6 oz Champagne
2 oz vodka
Cocktails are cool to have at a party or at a trendy bar but they sure can be expensive! Even during discount times, you can simply break the budget by drinking some cocktails. So nowadays, more often than not I will choose rose wine or champagne. I have educated myself on the best organic wines available and accept that drinking wine over cocktails will mean I get a tasty drink which is probably better for me and with fewer calories.
Whenever possible I prefer to buy Australian organic wine or low sulphate wine. I enjoy French wines but am glad to try anything. I have happily tried wines from Argentina before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not necessarily a good idea to pick a wine based on the region where it is grown, you can be surprised at the quality of wines made in regions not known for wine production.
There are many sites where you can find wine recommendations to help you make the best choice in wine. Whether you prefer white or sparkling wine, you can find the latest reviews online. I prefer to read wine social media sites because you can then get fairly instant comments on the wine you are thinking of buying.
If you are interested in organic wines then visit Treehugger for details on how buying organic produce is less destructive for soils. Wikipedia also has some excellent articles on organic growing and organic food and wine.

Whenever I have a choice I prefer to order Australian organic wine or no added preservative wine. I adore Australian wines but am glad to try anything. I have even tried wines from Argentina before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. A glass or two of wine every now and then is not only loosening for a fair number of people, it is also accepted by many to have great health benefits. While yet to be proven, consumption of wine, and red wine in particular, is widely accepted to reduce the risk of heart disease, provide a level of cancer protection and could also significantly defer the signs of aging.
Portuguese Wine in McGehee
You could say that I don't really drink alcohol on a weekly basis, I do consume a glass of Portuguese wine now and then, usually when I am at a meal with a group of friends. I believe the last time I had dinner in McGehee was at Bogey's Private Club. I know that restaurant is a top place to eat a meal and drink a glass of Portuguese wine. Not forgetting, you may be able to also do some celebrity spotting there as apparently that Jennifer Love Hewitt once drank there. I'm not sure if that's a true story though.
While on the subject of well known people, that reminds me of a well known line:
For most of history, Anonymous was a woman.
Not that I have any idea who came up with that and not that I have any clue why I just this moment thought of that but that's another story...
Let's get back to the wine so, if you are wishing to have a great little glass of wine (or three) in McGehee, try some Portuguese wine, it's really nice.

Burgundy Wine in Plain City
Without a doubt you could say that I don't drink alcohol on a fairly regular basis, I do have a glass of Burgundy wine sometimes, most often when I am enjoying a quiet dinner with friends or family. My last time having dinner in Plain City was at Charley's Steakery. From my experience that restaurant is a pretty cool place to eat a meal and have a glass of Burgundy wine. Not to mention, you can also do a little bit of celebrity spotting there as I heard that Rachael Leigh Cook once made an appearance there. I'm not sure if I believe it though.
On the subject of renowned people, that reminds me of a famous quote:
I have lived in this world just long enough to look carefully the second time into things that I am most certain of the first time.
I'm not sure who wrote that and not that I have any clue why I just now remembered that but that is off topic...
So, if you are trying to have a great small glass of wine (or more) in Plain City, try some Burgundy wine, it's tasty.
