There are plenty of different alcoholic drinks available these days that it is difficult to know what to buy. One of the easiest ways to discover which the best quality wines are is to check out reviews. That way you will have some idea of the type of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Recommendations are really the best way of discovering great wines.

I did always drink cocktails and have a tasty Affinity recipe which I used to mix. Even the most detailed cocktails are actually easy to make. As an example, the Affinity recipe uses the following ingredients:

1 1/2 oz Scotch whisky
1 oz sweet vermouth
1 oz dry vermouth
2 dashes orange bitters

Cocktails are a lot of fun to have at a party or at a hip bar but they sure are expensive! Even during happy hour, you can simply break the budget by having some cocktails. So these days, more often than not I will choose white wine or champagne. I have learnt which are the best organic wines available and believe that drinking wine over cocktails will mean I get a great drink which is probably healthier and with fewer calories.

Whenever possible I prefer to buy organic wine or preservative free wine. I enjoy Australian wines but am glad to try anything. I have also tried wines from South Africa before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not often a good idea to pick a wine based on the location where it is made, you can be shocked at the quality of wines produced in countries not known for wine production.

There are many websites where you can find wine recommendations to help you make a reliable choice in wine. Whether you prefer rose or sparkling wine, you can find many reviews online. I tend to read wine forums because you can then get almost instant opinions on the wine you are contemplating buying.
