There are so many different alcoholic drinks available these days that it is confusing to know what to buy. One of the easiest ways to find out which the best wines are is to read reviews. That way you will have some knowledge of the kind of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Others opinions are really the best way of discovering delicious wines.

I used to mostly drink cocktails and have a tasty After Dinner Mint #2 recipe which I used to make up. Even the most elaborate cocktails are actually easy to make. As an example, the After Dinner Mint #2 recipe consists of the following ingredients:

2 oz gin
4 oz creme de menthe
4 oz peppermint schnapps
1 splash Listerine® Cool Mint mouthwash

Cocktails are a lot of fun to have at a party or at a hip bar but they sure are very expensive! Even during discount times, you can often break the budget by drinking a few cocktails. So nowadays, more often than not I will choose white wine or champagne. I have learnt which are the best organic wines available and know that drinking wine over cocktails generally means I get a delicious drink which is most likely much healthier and with fewer calories.

Whenever I have a choice I prefer to buy Australian organic wine or low sulphate wine. I adore American wines but am glad to try anything. I have happily tried wines from Italy before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not necessarily a good idea to judge a wine based on the location where it is produced, you can be surprised at the quality of wines produced in areas not known for wine production.

There are many places where you can find wine recommendations to allow you to make a reliable choice in wine. Whether you prefer white or sparkling wine, you can find the latest reviews online. I like to read wine social media sites because you can then get fairly instant feedback on the wine you are considering drinking.

If you are thinking of trying organic wines then check out Treehugger for details on how purchasing organic food is less destructive for the environment. Wikipedia also has some excellent articles on organic growing and organic food and wine.

If you have a particular wine which you love to drink then let us know by leaving us a brief comment or if you have any questions such as how to choose a good wine or anything about champagne then ask us and we will get back to you!
