Allegheny recipe

There are so many different alcoholic drinks available in the shops that it is not easy to know what to choose. One of the simplest ways to know which the best quality wines are is to read reviews. That way you will have some idea of the flavour of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Reviews are really one of the best way of finding delicious wines.

I used to mostly drink cocktails and have a good Allegheny recipe which I used to mix. Even the most elaborate cocktails are actually easy to make. For example, the Allegheny recipe consists of only these ingredients:

1 oz dry vermouth
1 oz bourbon whiskey
1 tsp blackberry brandy
1 tsp lemon juice
1 twist lemon peel
ice

Cocktails are fun to have at a party or at a trendy bar but they sure are expensive! Even during discount times, you can simply break your budget by drinking a couple of cocktails. So nowadays, more often than not I will stick to red wine or champagne. I have discovered which are the best organic wines available and accept that drinking wine over cocktails means I get a tasty drink which is probably healthier and with fewer calories.

Whenever possible I prefer to order Australian organic wine or low sulphate wine. I love Australian wines but am glad to try anything. I have also tried wines from Argentina before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not often a good idea to judge a wine based on the location where it is produced, you can be shocked at the quality of wines made in countries not known for wine production.

There are many sites where you can find wine reviews to allow you to make the best choice in wine. Whether you prefer red or sparkling wine, you can find recent reviews online. I like to read wine blogs because you can then get almost instant comments on the wine you are considering buying.
