There are so many different alcoholic drinks available in the shops that it is not easy to know what to get. One of the best ways to find out which the best wines are is to read reviews. That means you will have some inclination of the kind of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Others opinions are really a great way of discovering great wines.

I used to always drink cocktails and have a good Amber Dream recipe which I used to mix. Even the most elaborate cocktails are actually easy to make. For example, the Amber Dream recipe includes the following ingredients:

2 oz dry gin
1 oz French vermouth
1/4 oz Yellow Chartreuse®
1 dash orange bitters

Cocktails are fun to have at a party or at a trendy bar but they sure are expensive! Even during discount times, you can often break your budget by having a few cocktails. So nowadays, more often than not I will stick to rose wine or champagne. I have discovered which are the best organic wines available and believe that drinking wine over cocktails generally means I get a great drink which is probably much healthier and with fewer calories.

Whenever possible I prefer to order organic wine or preservative free wine. I adore Australian wines but am happy to try anything. I have even tried wines from Argentina before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not necessarily a good idea to choose a wine based on the region where it is grown, you can be shocked at the quality of wines made in areas not known for wine production.

There are many sites where you can find wine recommendations to help you make a good choice in wine. Whether you prefer red or sparkling wine, you can find recent reviews online. I tend to read wine social media sites because you can then get fairly instant comments on the wine you are thinking of drinking.
