There are so many different beverages available these days that it is not easy to know what to get. One of the easiest ways to discover which the best wines are is to read reviews. At least that way you will have some knowledge of the flavour of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Reviews are really the best way of discovering delicious wines.
I used to always drink cocktails and have a great Americano recipe which I used to make. Even the most detailed cocktails are actually easy to make. For instance, the Americano recipe consists of only these ingredients:
1 oz Campari® bitters
1 oz sweet vermouth
1 twist lemon peel
1 twist orange peel
Cocktails are cool to have at a party or at a trendy bar but they sure can be expensive! Even during specials, you can simply break the budget by consuming a couple of cocktails. So nowadays, more often than not I will stick to white wine or champagne. I have educated myself on the best organic wines available and accept that drinking wine over cocktails means I get a great drink which is most likely much healthier and with fewer calories.
Whenever I have a choice I prefer to order organic wines or no added preservative wine. I love French wines but am happy to try anything. I have also tried wines from Italy before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not often a good idea to judge a wine based on the region where it is made, you can be amazed at the quality of wines produced in areas not known for wine production.
There are many sites where you can find wine recommendations to allow you to make a reliable choice in wine. Whether you prefer red or sparkling wine, you can find many reviews online. I like to read wine blogs because you can then get immediate feedback on the wine you are thinking of buying.
If you are thinking of trying organic wines then visit Treehugger for help on how choosing organic produce is less destructive for soils. Wikipedia also has some good articles on organic growing and organic food and wine.
