There are plenty of different drinks available these days that it is difficult to know what to get. One of the simplest ways to find out which the best value for money wines are is to check out reviews. At least that way you will have some knowledge of the flavour of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Recommendations are really one of the best way of discovering great wines.

I used to always drink cocktails and have a good Apello recipe which I used to mix. Even the most elaborate cocktails are actually easy to make. For instance, the Apello recipe includes only these ingredients:

4 cl orange juice
3 cl grapefruit juice
1 cl apple juice

Cocktails are cool to have at a party or at a hip bar but they sure are expensive! Even during discount times, you can easily break the budget by drinking a couple of cocktails. So these days, more often than not I will stick to white wine or champagne. I have discovered which are the best organic wines available and accept that drinking wine over cocktails generally means I get a great drink which is most likely healthier and with fewer calories.

Whenever possible I prefer to order organic wine or low sulphate wine. I enjoy French wines but am willing to try anything. I have also tried wines from Italy before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not often a good idea to pick a wine based on the region where it is produced, you can be amazed at the quality of wines grown in countries not known for wine production.

There are many websites where you can find wine recommendations to enable you to make a reliable choice in wine. Whether you prefer white or sparkling wine, you can find the latest reviews online. I tend to read wine forums because you can then get immediate opinions on the wine you are thinking of drinking.
