Apothecary recipe

There are plenty of different alcoholic drinks available these days that it is difficult to know what to get. One of the simplest ways to discover which the best value for money wines are is to check out reviews. At least that way you will have some knowledge of the kind of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Reviews are really one of the best way of finding great wines.

I did always drink cocktails and have a tasty Apothecary recipe which I used to mix. Even the most elaborate cocktails are actually easy to make. For example, the Apothecary recipe consists of these ingredients:

3/4 oz Punt e Mes red vermouth
3/4 oz Fernet Branca® bitters
1/4 oz green creme de menthe

Cocktails are a lot of fun to have at a party or at a trendy bar but they sure can be expensive! Even during happy hour, you can simply break a budget by having a few cocktails. So nowadays, more often than not I will choose white wine or champagne. I have educated myself on the best organic wines available and believe that drinking wine over cocktails generally means I get a delicious drink which is probably better for me and with fewer calories.

Whenever I can I prefer to order organic wine or no added preservative wine. I enjoy American wines but am willing to try anything. I have also tried wines from South Africa before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not always a good idea to choose a wine based on the region where it is grown, you can be shocked at the quality of wines made in areas not known for wine production.

There are many sites where you can find wine recommendations to allow you to make the best choice in wine. Whether you prefer white or sparkling wine, you can find many reviews online. I tend to read wine blogs because you can then get almost instant opinions on the wine you are contemplating purchasing.

If you are thinking of trying organic wines then check out Treehugger for details on how buying organic produce is less harmful for out planet. Wikipedia also has some great articles on organic farms and organic food and wine.

If you have a favourite wine which you enjoy to drink then spread the word by leaving us a message or if you have any questions such as how to choose a good wine or anything wine related then ask us and we will get back to you!
