There are many different alcoholic drinks available now that it is difficult to know what to get. One of the easiest ways to know which the best value for money wines are is to read reviews. That way you will have some inclination of the kind of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Reviews are really a great way of finding excellent wines.

I did always drink cocktails and have a great Applecar recipe which I used to make up. Even the most detailed cocktails are actually easy to make. For example, the Applecar recipe includes these ingredients:

1 oz Applejack® brandy
1 oz triple sec
1 oz lemon juice

Cocktails are cool to have at a party or at a cool bar but they sure are very expensive! Even during specials, you can simply break the budget by drinking a few cocktails. So now, more often than not I will stick to rose wine or champagne. I have discovered which are the best organic wines available and accept that drinking wine over cocktails generally means I get a great drink which is most probably better for me and with fewer calories.

Whenever possible I prefer to order organic wine or preservative free wine. I enjoy American wines but am willing to try anything. I have even tried wines from Italy before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not necessarily a good idea to judge a wine based on the region where it is grown, you can be shocked at the quality of wines made in areas not known for wine production.

There are many places where you can find wine recommendations to allow you to make a good choice in wine. Whether you prefer white or sparkling wine, you can find many reviews online. I like to read wine social media sites because you can then get fairly instant opinions on the wine you are considering buying.
