There are plenty of different alcoholic drinks available in the shops that it is difficult to know what to choose. One of the best ways to find out which the best value for money wines are is to check out reviews. That means you will have some knowledge of the kind of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Reviews are really a great way of finding great wines.
I used to mostly drink cocktails and have a great Backfire On The Freeway recipe which I used to make up. Even the most detailed cocktails are actually easy to make. As an example, the Backfire On The Freeway recipe consists of these ingredients:
2 oz Bacardi® 151 rum
6 oz Guinness® stout
Cocktails are fun to have at a party or at a hip bar but they sure are expensive! Even during specials, you can simply break your budget by having some cocktails. So now, more often than not I will stick to rose wine or champagne. I have educated myself on the best organic wines available and accept that drinking wine over cocktails means I get a great drink which is most probably better for me and with fewer calories.
Whenever possible I prefer to drink organic wine or preservative free wine. I adore French wines but am glad to try anything. I have happily tried wines from Italy before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not necessarily a good idea to pick a wine based on the location where it is grown, you can be surprised at the quality of wines made in countries not known for wine production.
There are many places where you can find wine information to enable you to make the best choice in wine. Whether you prefer white or sparkling wine, you can find many reviews online. I like to read wine blogs because you can then get almost instant comments on the wine you are thinking of buying.
If you are thinking of trying organic wines then visit Treehugger for information on how choosing organic wine is less destructive for soils. Wikipedia also has some good articles on organic growing and organic food and wine.
If you have a special wine which you like to drink then spread the word by leaving us a comment or if you have any questions such as how to choose a good wine or anything about wine then ask us and we will get back to you!
