There are many different drinks available now that it is confusing to know what to buy. One of the simplest ways to know which the best wines are is to find reviews. That means you will have some idea of the flavour of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Others opinions are really a great way of choosing excellent wines.
I did always drink cocktails and have a great Bahama Mama NC recipe which I used to make up. Even the most elaborate cocktails are actually easy to make. For example, the Bahama Mama NC recipe uses these ingredients:
3/4 oz light rum
3/4 oz banana liqueur
1 oz Malibu® coconut rum
3 oz pineapple juice
1 oz orange juice
1 dash grenadine syrup
Cocktails are cool to have at a party or at a trendy bar but they sure are very expensive! Even during specials, you can often break a budget by consuming a couple of cocktails. So now, more often than not I will stick to white wine or champagne. I have educated myself on the best organic wines available and accept that drinking wine over cocktails generally means I get a delicious drink which is probably better for me and with fewer calories.
Whenever I can I prefer to drink organic wines or no added preservative wine. I enjoy American wines but am happy to try anything. I have happily tried wines from South Africa before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not often a good idea to judge a wine based on the region where it is produced, you can be amazed at the quality of wines made in countries not known for wine production.
There are many places where you can find wine information to help you make the best choice in wine. Whether you prefer rose or sparkling wine, you can find the latest reviews online. I prefer to read wine forums because you can then get fairly instant comments on the wine you are considering purchasing.
