There are plenty of different alcoholic drinks available these days that it is not easy to know what to buy. One of the best ways to know which the best wines are is to read reviews. That means you will have some idea of the type of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Recommendations are really a great way of discovering excellent wines.
I used to mostly drink cocktails and have a tasty Bannister recipe which I used to make up. Even the most elaborate cocktails are actually easy to make. For example, the Bannister recipe includes only these ingredients:
1/2 oz gin
1 oz Applejack® brandy
1 tbsp Pernod® licorice liqueur
1/2 tbsp grenadine syrup
Cocktails are fun to have at a party or at a cool bar but they sure can be expensive! Even during happy hour, you can easily break a budget by consuming a couple of cocktails. So now, more often than not I will drink white wine or champagne. I have discovered which are the best organic wines available and believe that drinking wine over cocktails means I get a tasty drink which is probably much healthier and with fewer calories.
Whenever I can I prefer to order organic wine or preservative free wine. I enjoy American wines but am willing to try anything. I have even tried wines from South Africa before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not necessarily a good idea to pick a wine based on the country where it is produced, you can be surprised at the quality of wines produced in areas not known for wine production.
There are many sites where you can find wine recommendations to help you make the best choice in wine. Whether you prefer white or sparkling wine, you can find many reviews online. I tend to read wine blogs because you can then get immediate comments on the wine you are contemplating buying.
