There are many different alcoholic drinks available these days that it is confusing to know what to buy. One of the simplest ways to discover which the best quality wines are is to find reviews. At least that way you will have some knowledge of the flavour of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Others opinions are really the best way of choosing delicious wines.
I did always drink cocktails and have a good Bend Me Over #2 recipe which I used to mix. Even the most detailed cocktails are actually easy to make. As an example, the Bend Me Over #2 recipe uses only these ingredients:
1 oz Crown Royal® Canadian whisky
1/2 oz amaretto almond liqueur
1 oz sweet and sour mix
1 splash 7-Up® soda
Cocktails are fun to have at a party or at a cool bar but they sure are expensive! Even during happy hour, you can easily break your budget by consuming some cocktails. So nowadays, more often than not I will choose rose wine or champagne. I have learnt which are the best organic wines available and accept that drinking wine over cocktails will mean I get a delicious drink which is most likely much healthier and with fewer calories.
Whenever I can I prefer to order Australian organic wine or no added preservative wine. I adore French wines but am happy to try anything. I have also tried wines from Argentina before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not often a good idea to pick a wine based on the country where it is made, you can be shocked at the quality of wines produced in countries not known for wine production.
There are many websites where you can find wine recommendations to enable you to make a good choice in wine. Whether you prefer red or sparkling wine, you can find many reviews online. I tend to read wine blogs because you can then get almost instant feedback on the wine you are thinking of purchasing.
If you are looking for more information on organic wines then check out Treehugger for help on how buying organic wine is less destructive for soils. Wikipedia also has some good articles on organic farms and organic food and wine.
