There are so many different alcoholic drinks available these days that it is not easy to know what to buy. One of the best ways to discover which the best value for money wines are is to check out reviews. At least that way you will have some inclination of the type of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Recommendations are really the best way of discovering delicious wines.

I would always drink cocktails and have a great Blame It On Rio recipe which I used to mix. Even the most seemingly difficult cocktails are actually easy to make. For example, the Blame It On Rio recipe includes these ingredients:

1/4 oz Absolut® vodka
1/4 oz Captain Morgan® Original spiced rum
1/4 oz Malibu® coconut rum
1/4 oz amaretto almond liqueur
1/4 oz peach schnapps
1/4 oz banana liqueur
1 1/2 oz pineapple juice
soda water

Cocktails are cool to have at a party or at a trendy bar but they sure can be expensive! Even during discount times, you can often break a budget by having some cocktails. So these days, more often than not I will choose white wine or champagne. I have learnt which are the best organic wines available and believe that drinking wine over cocktails means I get a tasty drink which is probably much healthier and with fewer calories.

Whenever I have a choice I prefer to drink Australian organic wine or low sulphate wine. I love French wines but am glad to try anything. I have happily tried wines from Argentina before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not always a good idea to pick a wine based on the country where it is produced, you can be shocked at the quality of wines produced in regions not known for wine production.

There are many websites where you can find wine information to allow you to make a reliable choice in wine. Whether you prefer red or sparkling wine, you can find the latest reviews online. I like to read wine forums because you can then get immediate comments on the wine you are considering buying.

If you are thinking of trying organic wines then check out Treehugger for help on how purchasing organic food is less harmful for soils. Wikipedia also has some excellent articles on organic farms and organic food and wine.
