There are many different beverages available these days that it is difficult to know what to buy. One of the easiest ways to discover which the best value for money wines are is to find reviews. At least that way you will have some knowledge of the kind of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Recommendations are really one of the best way of finding excellent wines.
I would mostly drink cocktails and have a great Blue Bay recipe which I used to mix. Even the most elaborate cocktails are actually easy to make. As an example, the Blue Bay recipe uses these ingredients:
1 part Blue Curacao liqueur
2 parts bitter lemon soda
ice cubes
Cocktails are a lot of fun to have at a party or at a trendy bar but they sure are expensive! Even during happy hour, you can often break your budget by consuming some cocktails. So nowadays, more often than not I will drink white wine or champagne. I have learnt which are the best organic wines available and believe that drinking wine over cocktails will mean I get a delicious drink which is most likely better for me and with fewer calories.
Whenever possible I prefer to buy Australian organic wine or no added preservative wine. I love American wines but am happy to try anything. I have even tried wines from Argentina before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not often a good idea to pick a wine based on the region where it is produced, you can be amazed at the quality of wines grown in areas not known for wine production.
There are many websites where you can find wine reviews to help you make the best choice in wine. Whether you prefer white or sparkling wine, you can find recent reviews online. I tend to read wine forums because you can then get almost instant opinions on the wine you are thinking of drinking.
If you are thinking of trying organic wines then see Treehugger for help on how purchasing organic wine is less harmful for out planet. Wikipedia also has some excellent articles on organic growing and organic food and wine.
