There are so many different drinks available now that it is not easy to know what to buy. One of the best ways to discover which the best value for money wines are is to find reviews. That way you will have some knowledge of the type of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Recommendations are really a great way of finding excellent wines.
I did often drink cocktails and have a tasty Brandy Old-Fashioned recipe which I used to make up. Even the most elaborate cocktails are actually easy to make. For example, the Brandy Old-Fashioned recipe consists of the following ingredients:
3 oz brandy
4 dashes Angostura® bitters
1 tsp sugar
1 dash water
Cocktails are fun to have at a party or at a hip bar but they sure are expensive! Even during discount times, you can often break the budget by having some cocktails. So these days, more often than not I will stick to red wine or champagne. I have educated myself on the best organic wines available and know that drinking wine over cocktails will mean I get a great drink which is most probably better for me and with fewer calories.
Whenever I can I prefer to drink organic wine or preservative free wine. I love Australian wines but am willing to try anything. I have even tried wines from South Africa before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not necessarily a good idea to pick a wine based on the country where it is made, you can be shocked at the quality of wines grown in regions not known for wine production.
There are many places where you can find wine information to help you make the best choice in wine. Whether you prefer white or sparkling wine, you can find many reviews online. I tend to read wine forums because you can then get almost instant opinions on the wine you are thinking of drinking.
