There are plenty of different drinks available now that it is confusing to know what to buy. One of the best ways to find out which the best quality wines are is to read reviews. I used to mostly drink cocktails and have a good Canadian Blackberry recipe which I used to make. Even the most seemingly difficult cocktails are actually easy to make. For example, the Canadian Blackberry recipe uses the following ingredients:
2 oz Canadian whisky
1/2 oz blackberry brandy
1/2 oz fresh orange juice
1 tsp fresh lemon juice
1/2 tsp superfine sugar
Cocktails are cool to have at a party or at a cool bar but they sure can be expensive! Even during happy hour, you can often break the budget by having a few cocktails. So nowadays, more often than not I will drink rose wine or champagne. I have discovered which are the best organic wines available and accept that drinking wine over cocktails means I get a tasty drink which is most probably healthier and with fewer calories.
Whenever I can I prefer to order Australian organic wine or preservative free wine. I love American wines but am willing to try anything. I have also tried wines from South Africa before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not necessarily a good idea to pick a wine based on the country where it is produced, you can be shocked at the quality of wines made in countries not known for wine production.
There are many websites where you can find wine recommendations to allow you to make the best choice in wine. Whether you prefer rose or sparkling wine, you can find the latest reviews online. I like to read wine forums because you can then get almost instant comments on the wine you are thinking of purchasing.
