There are plenty of different beverages available these days that it is confusing to know what to choose. I used to often drink cocktails and have a great Champagne Spray Punch recipe which I used to make up. Even the most elaborate cocktails are actually easy to make. For example, the Champagne Spray Punch recipe includes the following ingredients:
75 cl Champagne
25 cl creme de cassis
5 cl lime juice
4 tbsp clear honey
1 liter cranberry juice
1 liter soda water
Cocktails are a lot of fun to have at a party or at a hip bar but they sure are expensive! Even during happy hour, you can simply break a budget by consuming a few cocktails. So now, more often than not I will drink rose wine or champagne. I have learnt which are the best organic wines available and accept that drinking wine over cocktails means I get a delicious drink which is most probably healthier and with fewer calories.
Whenever possible I prefer to buy Australian organic wine or no added preservative wine. I enjoy American wines but am happy to try anything. I have even tried wines from South Africa before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not often a good idea to choose a wine based on the country where it is made, you can be surprised at the quality of wines produced in areas not known for wine production.
There are many places where you can find wine information to allow you to make a reliable choice in wine. Whether you prefer red or sparkling wine, you can find many reviews online. I prefer to read wine social media sites because you can then get immediate comments on the wine you are thinking of purchasing.
