There are plenty of different alcoholic drinks available now that it is not easy to know what to buy. One of the best ways to discover which the best wines are is to read reviews. That way you will have some inclination of the flavour of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Others opinions are really a great way of finding great wines.
I would mostly drink cocktails and have a tasty Chocolate Snow Bear recipe which I used to make up. Even the most seemingly difficult cocktails are actually easy to make. As an example, the Chocolate Snow Bear recipe consists of the following ingredients:
1 oz amaretto almond liqueur
1 oz creme de cacao
5 oz french vanilla ice cream
1/4 oz chocolate syrup
2 dashes vanilla extract
Cocktails are fun to have at a party or at a trendy bar but they sure are very expensive! Even during specials, you can simply break your budget by drinking a couple of cocktails. So these days, more often than not I will choose white wine or champagne. I have discovered which are the best organic wines available and believe that drinking wine over cocktails generally means I get a delicious drink which is most likely much healthier and with fewer calories.
Whenever I have a choice I prefer to buy Australian organic wine or low sulphate wine. I love American wines but am happy to try anything. I have also tried wines from South Africa before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not often a good idea to judge a wine based on the country where it is grown, you can be amazed at the quality of wines produced in regions not known for wine production.
There are many sites where you can find wine recommendations to enable you to make the best choice in wine. Whether you prefer rose or sparkling wine, you can find recent reviews online. I tend to read wine social media sites because you can then get immediate opinions on the wine you are contemplating purchasing.
If you are looking for more information on organic wines then see Treehugger for help on how purchasing organic wine is less destructive for soils. Wikipedia also has some excellent articles on organic growing and organic food and wine.
