Claremont recipe

There are plenty of different drinks available in the shops that it is not easy to know what to choose. One of the best ways to know which the best value for money wines are is to read reviews. At least that way you will have some inclination of the kind of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Reviews are really one of the best way of discovering great wines.

I would mostly drink cocktails and have a great Claremont recipe which I used to make up. Even the most elaborate cocktails are actually easy to make. As an example, the Claremont recipe consists of only these ingredients:

3 dashes Angostura® bitters
3/4 oz Orange Curacao liqueur
2 slices oranges
2 cherries
1 1/2 oz bourbon whiskey
1 oz soda water

Cocktails are cool to have at a party or at a cool bar but they sure can be expensive! Even during happy hour, you can often break the budget by drinking a few cocktails. So now, more often than not I will choose red wine or champagne. I have discovered which are the best organic wines available and know that drinking wine over cocktails means I get a tasty drink which is most likely healthier and with fewer calories.

Whenever I can I prefer to order Australian organic wine or no added preservative wine. I adore American wines but am willing to try anything. I have happily tried wines from South Africa before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not often a good idea to judge a wine based on the region where it is made, you can be surprised at the quality of wines grown in regions not known for wine production.

There are many websites where you can find wine reviews to help you make a good choice in wine. Whether you prefer white or sparkling wine, you can find recent reviews online. I tend to read wine forums because you can then get almost instant comments on the wine you are contemplating purchasing.

If you are interested in organic wines then check out Treehugger for details on how purchasing organic produce is less destructive for soils. Wikipedia also has some good articles on organic growing and organic food and wine.
