There are so many different alcoholic drinks available now that it is not easy to know what to choose. One of the best ways to know which the best value for money wines are is to check out reviews. That way you will have some knowledge of the kind of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Reviews are really the best way of discovering great wines.

I used to often drink cocktails and have a good Coco Amor recipe which I used to make up. Even the most seemingly difficult cocktails are actually easy to make. For instance, the Coco Amor recipe uses only these ingredients:

1 oz CocoRibe® coconut rum
1/2 oz amaretto almond liqueur
1/2 oz lemon juice

Cocktails are a lot of fun to have at a party or at a trendy bar but they sure can be expensive! Even during happy hour, you can often break a budget by consuming a few cocktails. So now, more often than not I will drink red wine or champagne. I have discovered which are the best organic wines available and accept that drinking wine over cocktails generally means I get a great drink which is most likely better for me and with fewer calories.

Whenever possible I prefer to buy Australian organic wine or preservative free wine. I adore American wines but am happy to try anything. I have happily tried wines from South Africa before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not always a good idea to judge a wine based on the country where it is grown, you can be shocked at the quality of wines made in regions not known for wine production.

There are many websites where you can find wine reviews to enable you to make the best choice in wine. Whether you prefer white or sparkling wine, you can find recent reviews online. I like to read wine social media sites because you can then get almost instant comments on the wine you are contemplating drinking.

If you are looking for more information on organic wines then visit Treehugger for information on how purchasing organic wine is less destructive for the environment. Wikipedia also has some good articles on organic farming and organic food and wine.
