There are so many different drinks available these days that it is difficult to know what to get. One of the best ways to discover which the best value for money wines are is to check out reviews. That means you will have some knowledge of the flavour of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Reviews are really one of the best way of finding great wines.
I would mostly drink cocktails and have a tasty Cooperstown Cocktail recipe which I used to mix. Even the most elaborate cocktails are actually easy to make. For instance, the Cooperstown Cocktail recipe includes these ingredients:
1/2 oz sweet vermouth
1/2 oz dry vermouth
1 oz gin
1 mint sprig
Cocktails are fun to have at a party or at a trendy bar but they sure can be expensive! Even during happy hour, you can simply break your budget by consuming a few cocktails. So these days, more often than not I will drink red wine or champagne. I have learnt which are the best organic wines available and know that drinking wine over cocktails generally means I get a great drink which is most likely much healthier and with fewer calories.
Whenever I can I prefer to buy organic wines or low sulphate wine. I love French wines but am glad to try anything. I have happily tried wines from Italy before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not necessarily a good idea to judge a wine based on the location where it is produced, you can be amazed at the quality of wines produced in areas not known for wine production.
There are many places where you can find wine information to enable you to make a reliable choice in wine. Whether you prefer red or sparkling wine, you can find the latest reviews online. I tend to read wine forums because you can then get fairly instant comments on the wine you are thinking of buying.
If you are interested in organic wines then see Treehugger for information on how choosing organic food is less damaging for the environment. Wikipedia also has some excellent articles on organic farming and organic food and wine.
