There are so many different alcoholic drinks available in the shops that it is not easy to know what to buy. One of the simplest ways to know which the best value for money wines are is to check out reviews. At least that way you will have some inclination of the kind of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Others opinions are really one of the best way of discovering delicious wines.

I used to always drink cocktails and have a great Corvette recipe which I used to mix. Even the most elaborate cocktails are actually easy to make. As an example, the Corvette recipe consists of these ingredients:

1 1/2 oz Southern Comfort® peach liqueur
1 oz sloe gin
1 tsp Campari® bitters
4 oz chilled lemonade

Cocktails are fun to have at a party or at a hip bar but they sure can be expensive! Even during discount times, you can often break the budget by having a couple of cocktails. So nowadays, more often than not I will stick to red wine or champagne. I have educated myself on the best organic wines available and know that drinking wine over cocktails generally means I get a great drink which is most probably better for me and with fewer calories.

Whenever possible I prefer to drink Australian organic wine or preservative free wine. I enjoy French wines but am willing to try anything. I have also tried wines from Italy before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not always a good idea to judge a wine based on the region where it is grown, you can be shocked at the quality of wines grown in areas not known for wine production.

There are many sites where you can find wine recommendations to allow you to make a good choice in wine. Whether you prefer white or sparkling wine, you can find the latest reviews online. I tend to read wine forums because you can then get fairly instant feedback on the wine you are thinking of purchasing.
