There are so many different alcoholic drinks available these days that it is confusing to know what to get. One of the best ways to find out which the best quality wines are is to read reviews. That way you will have some idea of the flavour of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Reviews are really the best way of discovering delicious wines.
I did always drink cocktails and have a good Dark Fuzzy Navel recipe which I used to mix. Even the most elaborate cocktails are actually easy to make. For instance, the Dark Fuzzy Navel recipe uses these ingredients:
1/2 oz vodka
1 oz peach schnapps
fill with orange juice
top with blackberry brandy
Cocktails are fun to have at a party or at a trendy bar but they sure are very expensive! Even during specials, you can simply break your budget by consuming a few cocktails. So these days, more often than not I will stick to red wine or champagne. I have educated myself on the best organic wines available and believe that drinking wine over cocktails means I get a tasty drink which is most probably much healthier and with fewer calories.
Whenever possible I prefer to drink organic wines or no added preservative wine. I love French wines but am glad to try anything. I have also tried wines from South Africa before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not necessarily a good idea to choose a wine based on the region where it is made, you can be shocked at the quality of wines grown in regions not known for wine production.
There are many sites where you can find wine recommendations to enable you to make a reliable choice in wine. Whether you prefer white or sparkling wine, you can find many reviews online. I like to read wine forums because you can then get immediate feedback on the wine you are considering purchasing.
