There are many different alcoholic drinks available now that it is not easy to know what to choose. One of the easiest ways to find out which the best wines are is to check out reviews. At least that way you will have some knowledge of the flavour of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Recommendations are really one of the best way of discovering great wines.

I used to mostly drink cocktails and have a good Dirk Diggler recipe which I used to mix. Even the most detailed cocktails are actually easy to make. For example, the Dirk Diggler recipe consists of these ingredients:

2 oz Jagermeister® herbal liqueur
fill with root beer

Cocktails are fun to have at a party or at a trendy bar but they sure are very expensive! Even during happy hour, you can often break a budget by drinking a couple of cocktails. So nowadays, more often than not I will stick to rose wine or champagne. I have educated myself on the best organic wines available and accept that drinking wine over cocktails means I get a delicious drink which is probably better for me and with fewer calories.

Whenever possible I prefer to order Australian organic wine or preservative free wine. I adore American wines but am glad to try anything. I have also tried wines from South Africa before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not always a good idea to judge a wine based on the location where it is produced, you can be amazed at the quality of wines produced in countries not known for wine production.

There are many websites where you can find wine reviews to allow you to make a good choice in wine. Whether you prefer white or sparkling wine, you can find the latest reviews online. I tend to read wine social media sites because you can then get immediate feedback on the wine you are considering buying.

If you are thinking of trying organic wines then visit Treehugger for details on how purchasing organic food is less destructive for the environment. Wikipedia also has some great articles on organic growing and organic food and wine.
