There are so many different drinks available in the shops that it is difficult to know what to buy. One of the best ways to discover which the best wines are is to find reviews. That way you will have some knowledge of the flavour of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Recommendations are really a great way of discovering great wines.

I would often drink cocktails and have a great Earl of Sardinia recipe which I used to make. Even the most detailed cocktails are actually easy to make. For instance, the Earl of Sardinia recipe consists of the following ingredients:

1 1/2 oz Campari® bitters
1/2 oz creme de cassis
3 oz grapefruit juice
1 oz pineapple juice
1 tsp grenadine syrup

Cocktails are cool to have at a party or at a cool bar but they sure can be expensive! Even during discount times, you can often break the budget by drinking some cocktails. So these days, more often than not I will drink white wine or champagne. I have learnt which are the best organic wines available and accept that drinking wine over cocktails generally means I get a great drink which is most probably healthier and with fewer calories.

Whenever possible I prefer to buy Australian organic wine or low sulphate wine. I love American wines but am happy to try anything. I have also tried wines from Italy before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not always a good idea to pick a wine based on the country where it is made, you can be surprised at the quality of wines produced in countries not known for wine production.

There are many websites where you can find wine recommendations to enable you to make a good choice in wine. Whether you prefer white or sparkling wine, you can find the latest reviews online. I tend to read wine social media sites because you can then get almost instant opinions on the wine you are considering buying.
