There are many different drinks available in the shops that it is not easy to know what to buy. One of the easiest ways to know which the best value for money wines are is to read reviews. That means you will have some inclination of the type of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Recommendations are really a great way of discovering excellent wines.
I did often drink cocktails and have a great Elephant Shake recipe which I used to mix. Even the most elaborate cocktails are actually easy to make. For example, the Elephant Shake recipe uses the following ingredients:
3 - 4 scoops vanilla ice cream
1 cup milk
2 shots amarula cream liqueur
Cocktails are cool to have at a party or at a hip bar but they sure can be expensive! Even during happy hour, you can often break the budget by having a few cocktails. So now, more often than not I will stick to white wine or champagne. I have learnt which are the best organic wines available and know that drinking wine over cocktails will mean I get a tasty drink which is most probably healthier and with fewer calories.
Whenever possible I prefer to order organic wines or no added preservative wine. I love Australian wines but am willing to try anything. I have also tried wines from Italy before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not necessarily a good idea to pick a wine based on the country where it is made, you can be amazed at the quality of wines made in countries not known for wine production.
There are many websites where you can find wine reviews to help you make a reliable choice in wine. Whether you prefer red or sparkling wine, you can find many reviews online. I prefer to read wine blogs because you can then get immediate feedback on the wine you are considering buying.
