There are plenty of different beverages available these days that it is confusing to know what to buy. One of the best ways to find out which the best quality wines are is to read reviews. That means you will have some knowledge of the flavour of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Reviews are really one of the best way of discovering great wines.
I would mostly drink cocktails and have a tasty Four Roses Cocktail recipe which I used to make. Even the most detailed cocktails are actually easy to make. For example, the Four Roses Cocktail recipe consists of these ingredients:
4 jiggers Four Roses® bourbon whiskey
2 jiggers dry vermouth
1/2 jigger white creme de menthe
1 dash Angostura® bitters
Cocktails are cool to have at a party or at a hip bar but they sure can be expensive! Even during specials, you can easily break the budget by drinking a few cocktails. So nowadays, more often than not I will choose red wine or champagne. I have learnt which are the best organic wines available and accept that drinking wine over cocktails generally means I get a great drink which is most likely better for me and with fewer calories.
Whenever I can I prefer to order Australian organic wine or low sulphate wine. I enjoy American wines but am glad to try anything. I have also tried wines from South Africa before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not necessarily a good idea to judge a wine based on the location where it is made, you can be surprised at the quality of wines grown in countries not known for wine production.
There are many places where you can find wine recommendations to help you make a good choice in wine. Whether you prefer rose or sparkling wine, you can find recent reviews online. I tend to read wine social media sites because you can then get immediate comments on the wine you are considering buying.
