There are many different alcoholic drinks available these days that it is not easy to know what to choose. One of the simplest ways to know which the best value for money wines are is to read reviews. That means you will have some idea of the type of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Reviews are really a great way of discovering excellent wines.
I did always drink cocktails and have a good Frozen Mudslide #2 recipe which I used to make up. Even the most elaborate cocktails are actually easy to make. For example, the Frozen Mudslide #2 recipe includes these ingredients:
2 oz rum
2 oz Kahlua® coffee liqueur
2 oz Irish cream
2 cups vanilla ice cream
1 oz chocolate syrup
Cocktails are cool to have at a party or at a hip bar but they sure are expensive! Even during happy hour, you can often break the budget by drinking a few cocktails. So now, more often than not I will drink white wine or champagne. I have learnt which are the best organic wines available and accept that drinking wine over cocktails will mean I get a great drink which is most likely healthier and with fewer calories.
Whenever possible I prefer to order organic wines or no added preservative wine. I adore American wines but am happy to try anything. I have even tried wines from Argentina before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not often a good idea to pick a wine based on the country where it is grown, you can be shocked at the quality of wines produced in areas not known for wine production.
There are many websites where you can find wine recommendations to enable you to make the best choice in wine. Whether you prefer white or sparkling wine, you can find the latest reviews online. I like to read wine forums because you can then get fairly instant feedback on the wine you are thinking of buying.
