There are so many different alcoholic drinks available now that it is confusing to know what to buy. One of the best ways to discover which the best value for money wines are is to find reviews. That way you will have some inclination of the flavour of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Reviews are really one of the best way of choosing great wines.

I did mostly drink cocktails and have a great Furry Purple Squirrel recipe which I used to mix. Even the most detailed cocktails are actually easy to make. As an example, the Furry Purple Squirrel recipe consists of these ingredients:

1 oz light rum
1 oz coconut rum
1 oz Blue Curacao liqueur
1 oz grenadine syrup
1 oz fresh lime juice
1 oz club soda
1 dash coconut rum

Cocktails are cool to have at a party or at a trendy bar but they sure can be expensive! Even during discount times, you can easily break your budget by consuming a few cocktails. So nowadays, more often than not I will drink red wine or champagne. I have discovered which are the best organic wines available and accept that drinking wine over cocktails will mean I get a delicious drink which is most likely healthier and with fewer calories.

Whenever possible I prefer to drink Australian organic wine or preservative free wine. I enjoy French wines but am willing to try anything. I have even tried wines from Argentina before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not often a good idea to choose a wine based on the country where it is made, you can be shocked at the quality of wines produced in areas not known for wine production.

There are many sites where you can find wine reviews to help you make the best choice in wine. Whether you prefer white or sparkling wine, you can find many reviews online. I like to read wine social media sites because you can then get immediate opinions on the wine you are contemplating purchasing.

If you are looking for more information on organic wines then see Treehugger for information on how buying organic wine is less destructive for the environment. Wikipedia also has some good articles on organic farms and organic food and wine.
