There are plenty of different alcoholic drinks available these days that it is not easy to know what to buy. One of the easiest ways to discover which the best wines are is to check out reviews. At least that way you will have some inclination of the type of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Reviews are really one of the best way of discovering delicious wines.
I did mostly drink cocktails and have a tasty Good Morning Eggnog recipe which I used to make. Even the most seemingly difficult cocktails are actually easy to make. As an example, the Good Morning Eggnog recipe consists of the following ingredients:
1 3/4 oz ruby port
1 3/4 oz red wine
3 1/2 oz milk
3/4 oz cream
1/2 tsp powdered sugar
1 egg yolk
1 pinch nutmeg
Cocktails are cool to have at a party or at a hip bar but they sure can be expensive! Even during happy hour, you can simply break your budget by drinking some cocktails. So nowadays, more often than not I will stick to red wine or champagne. I have learnt which are the best organic wines available and accept that drinking wine over cocktails will mean I get a tasty drink which is most likely better for me and with fewer calories.
Whenever I can I prefer to order organic wine or low sulphate wine. I adore American wines but am happy to try anything. I have also tried wines from South Africa before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not often a good idea to choose a wine based on the region where it is made, you can be shocked at the quality of wines grown in countries not known for wine production.
There are many places where you can find wine recommendations to allow you to make a good choice in wine. Whether you prefer rose or sparkling wine, you can find recent reviews online. I prefer to read wine forums because you can then get almost instant comments on the wine you are contemplating drinking.
If you are thinking of trying organic wines then see Treehugger for help on how purchasing organic wine is less harmful for the environment. Wikipedia also has some great articles on organic farming and organic food and wine.
