There are many different drinks available these days that it is difficult to know what to get. One of the simplest ways to discover which the best value for money wines are is to find reviews. That way you will have some knowledge of the type of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Recommendations are really the best way of finding great wines.

I would mostly drink cocktails and have a good Highlander recipe which I used to make up. Even the most elaborate cocktails are actually easy to make. As an example, the Highlander recipe includes these ingredients:

1 oz whiskey
1 oz cranberry juice
1 oz vodka
1 oz pineapple juice
1 oz gin
1 oz sweet and sour mix
1 oz light rum
1/2 oz Blue Curacao liqueur
1/2 oz raspberry schnapps
1/2 oz melon liqueur
1/2 oz triple sec

Cocktails are a lot of fun to have at a party or at a cool bar but they sure can be expensive! Even during specials, you can easily break your budget by consuming a couple of cocktails. So nowadays, more often than not I will stick to white wine or champagne. I have learnt which are the best organic wines available and believe that drinking wine over cocktails means I get a tasty drink which is most likely much healthier and with fewer calories.

Whenever I have a choice I prefer to order organic wines or preservative free wine. I enjoy French wines but am willing to try anything. I have even tried wines from Argentina before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not always a good idea to judge a wine based on the region where it is made, you can be amazed at the quality of wines made in countries not known for wine production.

There are many sites where you can find wine information to enable you to make the best choice in wine. Whether you prefer red or sparkling wine, you can find many reviews online. I prefer to read wine social media sites because you can then get almost instant comments on the wine you are contemplating buying.

If you are thinking of trying organic wines then check out Treehugger for information on how choosing organic food is less destructive for out planet. Wikipedia also has some great articles on organic farming and organic food and wine.
