Island Affair recipe

There are many different alcoholic drinks available now that it is difficult to know what to buy. One of the simplest ways to find out which the best wines are is to check out reviews. That way you will have some inclination of the kind of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Reviews are really the best way of discovering excellent wines.

I used to often drink cocktails and have a tasty Island Affair recipe which I used to make. Even the most seemingly difficult cocktails are actually easy to make. As an example, the Island Affair recipe consists of the following ingredients:

1 1/4 oz melon liqueur
1/2 oz Cointreau® orange liqueur
1/3 oz Blue Curacao liqueur
1 1/2 oz orange juice
2 oz mango juice
1 oz whipped cream

Cocktails are fun to have at a party or at a trendy bar but they sure are very expensive! Even during happy hour, you can easily break the budget by drinking some cocktails. So now, more often than not I will stick to red wine or champagne. I have educated myself on the best organic wines available and believe that drinking wine over cocktails will mean I get a tasty drink which is probably healthier and with fewer calories.

Whenever possible I prefer to buy Australian organic wine or preservative free wine. I love American wines but am willing to try anything. I have even tried wines from Italy before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not necessarily a good idea to pick a wine based on the location where it is grown, you can be shocked at the quality of wines produced in countries not known for wine production.

There are many places where you can find wine reviews to enable you to make a reliable choice in wine. Whether you prefer rose or sparkling wine, you can find many reviews online. I tend to read wine blogs because you can then get fairly instant opinions on the wine you are considering buying.

If you are interested in organic wines then visit Treehugger for information on how choosing organic wine is less damaging for out planet. Wikipedia also has some excellent articles on organic growing and organic food and wine.

If you have a particular wine which you love to drink then spread the word by leaving us a brief comment or if you have any questions such as how to choose a good wine or anything wine related then ask us and we will get back to you!
