There are plenty of different drinks available these days that it is not easy to know what to get. One of the best ways to discover which the best wines are is to read reviews. That means you will have some inclination of the type of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Others opinions are really the best way of finding excellent wines.

I used to often drink cocktails and have a good Italian Tickler recipe which I used to make. Even the most elaborate cocktails are actually easy to make. As an example, the Italian Tickler recipe consists of these ingredients:

2 oz Amaretto Di Saronno® liqueur
5 oz club soda

Cocktails are fun to have at a party or at a hip bar but they sure are very expensive! Even during specials, you can often break the budget by consuming some cocktails. So nowadays, more often than not I will stick to red wine or champagne. I have discovered which are the best organic wines available and accept that drinking wine over cocktails means I get a delicious drink which is most probably much healthier and with fewer calories.

Whenever I can I prefer to drink organic wine or low sulphate wine. I enjoy American wines but am glad to try anything. I have even tried wines from Italy before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not often a good idea to pick a wine based on the location where it is grown, you can be surprised at the quality of wines made in countries not known for wine production.

There are many websites where you can find wine information to allow you to make a good choice in wine. Whether you prefer red or sparkling wine, you can find recent reviews online. I like to read wine social media sites because you can then get fairly instant feedback on the wine you are contemplating drinking.

If you are thinking of trying organic wines then visit Treehugger for details on how purchasing organic produce is less damaging for soils. Wikipedia also has some great articles on organic farming and organic food and wine.
