There are plenty of different alcoholic drinks available now that it is difficult to know what to buy. One of the best ways to know which the best value for money wines are is to find reviews. That means you will have some inclination of the type of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Others opinions are really a great way of discovering excellent wines.

I used to mostly drink cocktails and have a great Jamaican Jambaylaya recipe which I used to mix. Even the most elaborate cocktails are actually easy to make. For example, the Jamaican Jambaylaya recipe consists of the following ingredients:

2 oz spiced rum
fill with fruit punch
ice cubes

Cocktails are fun to have at a party or at a hip bar but they sure are very expensive! Even during happy hour, you can simply break your budget by having a few cocktails. So these days, more often than not I will choose rose wine or champagne. I have discovered which are the best organic wines available and know that drinking wine over cocktails will mean I get a tasty drink which is most likely better for me and with fewer calories.

Whenever I can I prefer to drink organic wines or no added preservative wine. I love Australian wines but am willing to try anything. I have also tried wines from Italy before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not necessarily a good idea to judge a wine based on the location where it is grown, you can be surprised at the quality of wines grown in regions not known for wine production.

There are many sites where you can find wine reviews to enable you to make a good choice in wine. Whether you prefer red or sparkling wine, you can find many reviews online. I like to read wine social media sites because you can then get fairly instant comments on the wine you are thinking of purchasing.

If you are thinking of trying organic wines then see Treehugger for details on how buying organic wine is less destructive for soils. Wikipedia also has some good articles on organic farms and organic food and wine.

If you have a particular wine which you love to drink then spread the word by leaving us a brief comment or if you have any questions such as how to choose a good wine or anything about champagne then ask us now!
