There are so many different beverages available now that it is not easy to know what to choose. One of the easiest ways to know which the best quality wines are is to read reviews. At least that way you will have some idea of the flavour of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Others opinions are really one of the best way of discovering excellent wines.

I used to mostly drink cocktails and have a tasty James The Second Comes First recipe which I used to make up. Even the most detailed cocktails are actually easy to make. As an example, the James The Second Comes First recipe consists of these ingredients:

2 oz Scotch whisky
1/2 oz tawny port
1/2 oz dry vermouth
1 dash bitters

Cocktails are a lot of fun to have at a party or at a hip bar but they sure are expensive! Even during specials, you can easily break your budget by drinking a couple of cocktails. So these days, more often than not I will choose white wine or champagne. I have learnt which are the best organic wines available and accept that drinking wine over cocktails means I get a great drink which is most probably healthier and with fewer calories.

Whenever possible I prefer to order organic wine or low sulphate wine. I enjoy French wines but am happy to try anything. I have also tried wines from South Africa before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not necessarily a good idea to pick a wine based on the location where it is made, you can be amazed at the quality of wines produced in countries not known for wine production.

There are many websites where you can find wine information to allow you to make a good choice in wine. Whether you prefer red or sparkling wine, you can find many reviews online. I prefer to read wine blogs because you can then get almost instant comments on the wine you are thinking of purchasing.

If you are thinking of trying organic wines then visit Treehugger for information on how purchasing organic wine is less harmful for out planet. Wikipedia also has some great articles on organic farms and organic food and wine.
