There are many different alcoholic drinks available in the shops that it is confusing to know what to get. One of the best ways to know which the best quality wines are is to read reviews. At least that way you will have some knowledge of the flavour of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Others opinions are really one of the best way of choosing excellent wines.

I would often drink cocktails and have a good Kermit The Frog Piss recipe which I used to make up. Even the most seemingly difficult cocktails are actually easy to make. For instance, the Kermit The Frog Piss recipe uses only these ingredients:

1 oz Midori® melon liqueur
1/2 oz Malibu® coconut rum
2 oz sweet and sour mix
top with 7-Up® soda

Cocktails are cool to have at a party or at a hip bar but they sure can be expensive! Even during discount times, you can simply break a budget by drinking a couple of cocktails. So nowadays, more often than not I will choose red wine or champagne. I have discovered which are the best organic wines available and believe that drinking wine over cocktails generally means I get a delicious drink which is probably much healthier and with fewer calories.

Whenever I can I prefer to buy organic wine or preservative free wine. I enjoy American wines but am glad to try anything. I have even tried wines from South Africa before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not always a good idea to pick a wine based on the country where it is grown, you can be surprised at the quality of wines produced in countries not known for wine production.

There are many places where you can find wine information to allow you to make a good choice in wine. Whether you prefer red or sparkling wine, you can find the latest reviews online. I tend to read wine forums because you can then get almost instant comments on the wine you are considering purchasing.

If you are looking for more information on organic wines then visit Treehugger for information on how choosing organic wine is less destructive for the environment. Wikipedia also has some excellent articles on organic growing and organic food and wine.
