There are plenty of different drinks available now that it is difficult to know what to get. One of the best ways to know which the best value for money wines are is to find reviews. That way you will have some inclination of the type of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Others opinions are really the best way of choosing great wines.
I did mostly drink cocktails and have a tasty Lawhill Cocktail recipe which I used to mix. Even the most elaborate cocktails are actually easy to make. As an example, the Lawhill Cocktail recipe consists of these ingredients:
1 1/2 oz blended whiskey
3/4 oz dry vermouth
1/4 tsp anis liqueur
1/4 tsp maraschino liqueur
1 dash bitters
Cocktails are fun to have at a party or at a cool bar but they sure are very expensive! Even during happy hour, you can often break your budget by drinking a few cocktails. So these days, more often than not I will drink rose wine or champagne. I have discovered which are the best organic wines available and believe that drinking wine over cocktails generally means I get a tasty drink which is most likely much healthier and with fewer calories.
Whenever I have a choice I prefer to order organic wine or low sulphate wine. I love Australian wines but am happy to try anything. I have happily tried wines from Italy before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not necessarily a good idea to judge a wine based on the country where it is grown, you can be surprised at the quality of wines grown in countries not known for wine production.
There are many websites where you can find wine information to enable you to make a reliable choice in wine. Whether you prefer rose or sparkling wine, you can find the latest reviews online. I like to read wine forums because you can then get fairly instant comments on the wine you are thinking of buying.
