There are many different alcoholic drinks available in the shops that it is confusing to know what to get. One of the best ways to discover which the best value for money wines are is to read reviews. At least that way you will have some idea of the type of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Recommendations are really the best way of finding great wines.

I used to often drink cocktails and have a good Leapfrog recipe which I used to mix. Even the most elaborate cocktails are actually easy to make. As an example, the Leapfrog recipe uses these ingredients:

1 1/2 oz tequila
1/2 oz sloe gin
1 tsp sweet vermouth

Cocktails are cool to have at a party or at a trendy bar but they sure can be expensive! Even during discount times, you can easily break the budget by having some cocktails. So these days, more often than not I will drink red wine or champagne. I have educated myself on the best organic wines available and believe that drinking wine over cocktails means I get a tasty drink which is most likely healthier and with fewer calories.

Whenever possible I prefer to order organic wine or low sulphate wine. I enjoy Australian wines but am happy to try anything. I have even tried wines from Italy before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not necessarily a good idea to judge a wine based on the location where it is made, you can be amazed at the quality of wines made in regions not known for wine production.

There are many places where you can find wine reviews to help you make a good choice in wine. Whether you prefer rose or sparkling wine, you can find many reviews online. I tend to read wine forums because you can then get fairly instant feedback on the wine you are thinking of purchasing.
