There are many different drinks available in the shops that it is not easy to know what to get. One of the easiest ways to discover which the best wines are is to read reviews. At least that way you will have some knowledge of the kind of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Recommendations are really the best way of finding great wines.
I used to often drink cocktails and have a tasty Lime Rickey recipe which I used to make. Even the most detailed cocktails are actually easy to make. For instance, the Lime Rickey recipe consists of the following ingredients:
3/4 oz fresh lime juice
1 oz simple syrup
3 dashes Angostura® bitters
6 - 8 oz club soda
Cocktails are fun to have at a party or at a trendy bar but they sure are expensive! Even during specials, you can simply break your budget by having a few cocktails. So now, more often than not I will stick to red wine or champagne. I have discovered which are the best organic wines available and believe that drinking wine over cocktails generally means I get a tasty drink which is most probably better for me and with fewer calories.
Whenever I can I prefer to order Australian organic wine or low sulphate wine. I enjoy Australian wines but am willing to try anything. I have happily tried wines from Italy before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not often a good idea to judge a wine based on the location where it is grown, you can be surprised at the quality of wines produced in countries not known for wine production.
There are many sites where you can find wine reviews to enable you to make the best choice in wine. Whether you prefer rose or sparkling wine, you can find many reviews online. I like to read wine blogs because you can then get immediate feedback on the wine you are contemplating buying.
If you are interested in organic wines then see Treehugger for help on how choosing organic food is less damaging for soils. Wikipedia also has some good articles on organic farming and organic food and wine.
