There are so many different alcoholic drinks available in the shops that it is not easy to know what to buy. One of the simplest ways to discover which the best wines are is to find reviews. That way you will have some knowledge of the kind of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Recommendations are really the best way of choosing great wines.
I did always drink cocktails and have a great Maria-Rocker recipe which I used to mix. Even the most seemingly difficult cocktails are actually easy to make. For instance, the Maria-Rocker recipe uses these ingredients:
1 oz DeKuyper® Peachtree schnapps
1 oz Passoa® liqueur
1 oz Absolut® vodka
1 splash fresh lime juice
1 splash cranberry juice
3 - 5 oz Sprite® soda
Cocktails are cool to have at a party or at a cool bar but they sure are very expensive! Even during specials, you can often break a budget by consuming some cocktails. So now, more often than not I will drink red wine or champagne. I have learnt which are the best organic wines available and accept that drinking wine over cocktails generally means I get a delicious drink which is most likely better for me and with fewer calories.
Whenever possible I prefer to order organic wines or low sulphate wine. I adore Australian wines but am happy to try anything. I have even tried wines from South Africa before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not necessarily a good idea to judge a wine based on the country where it is grown, you can be shocked at the quality of wines produced in areas not known for wine production.
There are many websites where you can find wine recommendations to help you make a good choice in wine. Whether you prefer red or sparkling wine, you can find many reviews online. I tend to read wine blogs because you can then get immediate feedback on the wine you are thinking of drinking.
