Metropolitan recipe

There are plenty of different alcoholic drinks available in the shops that it is difficult to know what to get. One of the best ways to find out which the best value for money wines are is to read reviews. That means you will have some knowledge of the kind of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Recommendations are really the best way of finding excellent wines.
I did often drink cocktails and have a tasty Metropolitan recipe which I used to mix. Even the most seemingly difficult cocktails are actually easy to make. For example, the Metropolitan recipe uses the following ingredients:
2 oz brandy
1/2 oz sweet vermouth
1 dash bitters
1 tsp superfine sugar
Cocktails are cool to have at a party or at a hip bar but they sure are expensive! Even during happy hour, you can easily break your budget by having a couple of cocktails. So nowadays, more often than not I will choose white wine or champagne. I have discovered which are the best organic wines available and know that drinking wine over cocktails means I get a great drink which is most likely healthier and with fewer calories.
Whenever I can I prefer to order organic wines or preservative free wine. I adore Australian wines but am glad to try anything. I have even tried wines from Italy before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not necessarily a good idea to judge a wine based on the country where it is made, you can be shocked at the quality of wines grown in countries not known for wine production.
There are many places where you can find wine recommendations to help you make a good choice in wine. Whether you prefer red or sparkling wine, you can find many reviews online. I tend to read wine forums because you can then get fairly instant opinions on the wine you are considering purchasing.
If you are interested in organic wines then check out Treehugger for information on how choosing organic food is less harmful for the environment. Wikipedia also has some excellent articles on organic farming and organic food and wine.
