There are many different alcoholic drinks available in the shops that it is not easy to know what to choose. One of the easiest ways to know which the best value for money wines are is to read reviews. At least that way you will have some knowledge of the kind of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Recommendations are really a great way of choosing excellent wines.
I used to mostly drink cocktails and have a good Mexican Skirt recipe which I used to make up. Even the most seemingly difficult cocktails are actually easy to make. For instance, the Mexican Skirt recipe uses only these ingredients:
1 1/2 oz Scotch whisky
1/2 oz Drambuie® Scotch whisky
1 oz tequila
Cocktails are cool to have at a party or at a trendy bar but they sure can be expensive! Even during happy hour, you can often break a budget by consuming a few cocktails. So nowadays, more often than not I will stick to rose wine or champagne. I have educated myself on the best organic wines available and know that drinking wine over cocktails generally means I get a great drink which is probably healthier and with fewer calories.
Whenever I have a choice I prefer to drink organic wines or preservative free wine. I love French wines but am glad to try anything. I have happily tried wines from Argentina before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not necessarily a good idea to choose a wine based on the region where it is produced, you can be shocked at the quality of wines grown in countries not known for wine production.
There are many sites where you can find wine recommendations to allow you to make the best choice in wine. Whether you prefer rose or sparkling wine, you can find the latest reviews online. I prefer to read wine forums because you can then get fairly instant feedback on the wine you are considering drinking.
