There are plenty of different alcoholic drinks available in the shops that it is difficult to know what to get. One of the simplest ways to find out which the best wines are is to find reviews. At least that way you will have some inclination of the flavour of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Recommendations are really the best way of discovering excellent wines.
I did always drink cocktails and have a tasty Minnesota Slammer recipe which I used to mix. Even the most elaborate cocktails are actually easy to make. For example, the Minnesota Slammer recipe consists of only these ingredients:
2 oz cherry brandy
2 oz peach schnapps
2 oz DeKuyper® Sour Apple Pucker schnapps
2 oz sweet and sour mix
4 - 8 oz Sprite® soda
Cocktails are a lot of fun to have at a party or at a trendy bar but they sure are expensive! Even during happy hour, you can often break your budget by having a couple of cocktails. So nowadays, more often than not I will drink rose wine or champagne. I have discovered which are the best organic wines available and accept that drinking wine over cocktails will mean I get a great drink which is most likely better for me and with fewer calories.
Whenever possible I prefer to buy organic wines or no added preservative wine. I love Australian wines but am glad to try anything. I have also tried wines from Italy before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not often a good idea to judge a wine based on the region where it is produced, you can be shocked at the quality of wines produced in countries not known for wine production.
There are many places where you can find wine information to enable you to make the best choice in wine. Whether you prefer red or sparkling wine, you can find many reviews online. I like to read wine blogs because you can then get fairly instant comments on the wine you are thinking of purchasing.
