There are so many different beverages available now that it is not easy to know what to get. One of the simplest ways to find out which the best value for money wines are is to read reviews. That way you will have some knowledge of the kind of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Reviews are really a great way of finding great wines.

I would always drink cocktails and have a tasty Monastery Cocktail recipe which I used to make. Even the most elaborate cocktails are actually easy to make. For instance, the Monastery Cocktail recipe uses the following ingredients:

4 oz hot coffee
2 oz benedictine herbal liqueur
2 oz heavy cream
1/4 tsp granulated sugar

Cocktails are fun to have at a party or at a cool bar but they sure are very expensive! Even during happy hour, you can simply break your budget by having a few cocktails. So these days, more often than not I will stick to red wine or champagne. I have educated myself on the best organic wines available and accept that drinking wine over cocktails generally means I get a great drink which is most likely much healthier and with fewer calories.

Whenever possible I prefer to buy organic wine or preservative free wine. I adore American wines but am happy to try anything. I have happily tried wines from Argentina before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not necessarily a good idea to pick a wine based on the country where it is grown, you can be shocked at the quality of wines made in areas not known for wine production.

There are many websites where you can find wine reviews to allow you to make the best choice in wine. Whether you prefer red or sparkling wine, you can find the latest reviews online. I prefer to read wine forums because you can then get fairly instant comments on the wine you are thinking of buying.
