There are so many different alcoholic drinks available now that it is not easy to know what to choose. One of the best ways to find out which the best wines are is to check out reviews. That means you will have some idea of the type of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Others opinions are really a great way of discovering delicious wines.

I would often drink cocktails and have a great Mr G recipe which I used to make up. Even the most elaborate cocktails are actually easy to make. For instance, the Mr G recipe includes these ingredients:

2 - 3 cl Licor 43® liqueur
2 - 3 cl vodka
4 - 5 cl grenadine syrup
fill with milk

Cocktails are cool to have at a party or at a hip bar but they sure can be expensive! Even during specials, you can often break your budget by consuming some cocktails. So these days, more often than not I will choose red wine or champagne. I have learnt which are the best organic wines available and accept that drinking wine over cocktails means I get a tasty drink which is most likely better for me and with fewer calories.

Whenever I have a choice I prefer to order Australian organic wine or no added preservative wine. I adore American wines but am willing to try anything. I have even tried wines from South Africa before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not often a good idea to pick a wine based on the region where it is produced, you can be shocked at the quality of wines made in regions not known for wine production.

There are many sites where you can find wine recommendations to help you make a reliable choice in wine. Whether you prefer rose or sparkling wine, you can find many reviews online. I tend to read wine blogs because you can then get fairly instant opinions on the wine you are considering drinking.
