There are many different alcoholic drinks available in the shops that it is difficult to know what to choose. One of the best ways to find out which the best value for money wines are is to find reviews. At least that way you will have some inclination of the flavour of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Reviews are really the best way of choosing excellent wines.
I did always drink cocktails and have a tasty Nermish recipe which I used to make up. Even the most detailed cocktails are actually easy to make. As an example, the Nermish recipe consists of these ingredients:
1 1/2 oz Captain Morgan® Parrot Bay coconut rum
3 oz orange soda
Cocktails are a lot of fun to have at a party or at a trendy bar but they sure are expensive! Even during happy hour, you can easily break your budget by consuming a few cocktails. So now, more often than not I will stick to white wine or champagne. I have learnt which are the best organic wines available and accept that drinking wine over cocktails means I get a delicious drink which is most probably better for me and with fewer calories.
Whenever I can I prefer to drink Australian organic wine or low sulphate wine. I enjoy Australian wines but am glad to try anything. I have happily tried wines from Argentina before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not necessarily a good idea to pick a wine based on the country where it is made, you can be surprised at the quality of wines made in regions not known for wine production.
There are many sites where you can find wine information to allow you to make a good choice in wine. Whether you prefer white or sparkling wine, you can find recent reviews online. I tend to read wine blogs because you can then get immediate feedback on the wine you are considering drinking.
If you are looking for more information on organic wines then see Treehugger for details on how buying organic food is less damaging for out planet. Wikipedia also has some great articles on organic farming and organic food and wine.
