There are plenty of different drinks available in the shops that it is difficult to know what to buy. One of the simplest ways to discover which the best value for money wines are is to check out reviews. That means you will have some inclination of the kind of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Recommendations are really one of the best way of discovering great wines.
I did often drink cocktails and have a tasty North Polar recipe which I used to mix. Even the most detailed cocktails are actually easy to make. For example, the North Polar recipe consists of the following ingredients:
1 part gin
1 part Cointreau® orange liqueur
1 part Campari® bitters
Cocktails are a lot of fun to have at a party or at a trendy bar but they sure are very expensive! Even during discount times, you can easily break your budget by consuming some cocktails. So now, more often than not I will stick to white wine or champagne. I have educated myself on the best organic wines available and believe that drinking wine over cocktails means I get a tasty drink which is probably much healthier and with fewer calories.
Whenever I have a choice I prefer to buy organic wines or low sulphate wine. I love French wines but am happy to try anything. I have even tried wines from South Africa before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not often a good idea to judge a wine based on the region where it is produced, you can be surprised at the quality of wines grown in regions not known for wine production.
There are many places where you can find wine information to help you make a good choice in wine. Whether you prefer white or sparkling wine, you can find recent reviews online. I like to read wine social media sites because you can then get immediate feedback on the wine you are thinking of purchasing.
If you are interested in organic wines then see Treehugger for help on how buying organic produce is less damaging for out planet. Wikipedia also has some excellent articles on organic farming and organic food and wine.
