There are many different drinks available these days that it is confusing to know what to buy. One of the easiest ways to find out which the best wines are is to read reviews. At least that way you will have some idea of the kind of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Recommendations are really one of the best way of finding great wines.

I used to always drink cocktails and have a tasty Obadoba recipe which I used to make up. Even the most detailed cocktails are actually easy to make. For example, the Obadoba recipe uses the following ingredients:

1 gal milk
10 tsp sweetened cocoa powder
1 1/2 oz whipped cream
salt

Cocktails are fun to have at a party or at a hip bar but they sure are very expensive! Even during discount times, you can easily break a budget by drinking a couple of cocktails. So now, more often than not I will choose red wine or champagne. I have discovered which are the best organic wines available and know that drinking wine over cocktails means I get a tasty drink which is most probably much healthier and with fewer calories.

Whenever possible I prefer to buy Australian organic wine or low sulphate wine. I love Australian wines but am happy to try anything. I have even tried wines from Italy before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not often a good idea to choose a wine based on the location where it is grown, you can be shocked at the quality of wines made in regions not known for wine production.

There are many places where you can find wine information to help you make a good choice in wine. Whether you prefer white or sparkling wine, you can find recent reviews online. I like to read wine social media sites because you can then get fairly instant opinions on the wine you are contemplating buying.

If you are interested in organic wines then visit Treehugger for information on how choosing organic wine is less harmful for the environment. Wikipedia also has some excellent articles on organic growing and organic food and wine.
